One night stands? It’s my jam! There’s something about the cheap thrill that gives a rom-com the nice kind of spin. One that ends right after the sex scene.

Honestly, most or almost all of my friends are not into one night stands or even if they tried it ended up being more than just a night or a fling.

Here’s the thing, the key to a good one night stand is to have really shitty brain. I am really bad at remembering names and my long and actually short term memory too are pretty fucked. Basically I have selective memory capacity. So, the way that some would get nostalgic, I do too but just the situation and not necessary with that person.

One night stands, personally, is the best thing to do until you find the one. For some who lives by first impression and gut instinct, having one night’s enough to make the call of whether or not this relationship should continue. Some might call it slutty, whatever the word is, it is still better than poker face.

Don’t you hate those people who toy with your feelings, take you out, make you feel like there’s more to it than sex but then, turns out, you’ve been played? That, to me, is worse than to hit-it and quit-it. At least good memories are left in that one night before they have the chance to ruin it.

Attachment is something you cannot have. Many are dreamers, I am too but leaning more towards the realistic side. Dreamers will immediately picture the future and hope for something more and they can’t even control it. Once you have an image of someone in your head, that is when expectation precedes and one night stand will not suit you.

Do what feels right to you and leave the judgments behind. I am not calling you a prude so don’t go name calling others a slut. If people live their own lives with respect and understanding, then life itself will be more fun.
