You don’t feel the wind from the starting point but from the distance it travels to.
If you are getting into a long-distance relationship or doubting whether because you’ve done it before and failed, should you give it another go? This is where I will try to convince you to do so!
First of all, any relationship regardless of any kinds of situation is inevitably difficult to begin with and when you throw long-distance into the equation it seems almost too much. For someone like me who was in a long-distance relationship once before, I was definitely reluctant. It didn’t work before so I was afraid of the same result. But another thought popped into my head which was that there’s a reason why I am put into the same test again. And like a retake of a quiz, if you’ve seen the equation before then hopefully the second time around you would be able to solve it.
Another reason why I gave the long-distance a shot was because I love my partner way too much to not give it a try. My philosophy in life is always that if you are put in the same situation twice or more, it means that you haven’t passed this test in life and there’s no skipping through it but to work through it.
The best thing I learn from long-distance relationship is that, it is a good reminder of how much someone loves you and how much you love someone but also building trust. I have trust issues like any people would as we get older and people have failed you way too many times. But by being far from someone, you have to give away the trust first before knowing if you can actually trust the person because without it you cannot continue on with the relationship. Once you’ve given the trust and the result is that, yes you CAN trust that person then your relationship will grow exponentially.
Love is like the wind where you feel it even when it might have blown from miles and miles away. When you’re in a long-distance but you can still feel the love from your partner, it is the best feeling you can imagine!
I hate to burst your bubble but as life goes on, things will get more challenging but at the same time the rewards will keep getting bigger and better! If you ever feel like you can’t do something, just remember that you always have a choice but you also can imagine the different kind of outcome you might get from the choices you make. Make sure you won’t regret giving things a try just because it might fail. If the rocket never shoots up to the sky then we will never know if it will land on the moon. Namaste.
