If your problems start to feel bigger and bigger, it’s time to Zoom Out!
Have you ever been at the point of your life where you feel at bliss and that everything is in its good flow and suddenly, there’s that one tiny thing that disrupts your flow. That tiny thing can make you extremely furious, not because it’s a big deal but because you’re upset that now your flow is disrupted.
My dearest friend said to me that ‘darkness is attracted by the light. When you’re in the light you don’t see darkness which is why it may come as a surprise to you.’
See, no matter how big your problems feel (and I use the word feel because your problems feel big to you but might be something others could care less about because they have more serious matter to deal with) you don’t have to place yourself at the center of the problem. Do not play the victim even if its being done to you.
Have empathy.
When someone is causing you pain or frustration, don’t look at the problem but look at the person. Zoom out of that situation and see what is causing that reaction. Everything is a chain of event, everyone is connected somehow. When someone is upsetting you, ask why?
Most of the time those who act selfishly and unkind is because they’ve never felt love. And that is a painful truth that could only be fix with compassion. If you’ve never know love, you cannot show love. Think of the person who mistreated you today or in your life. Ask yourself, what has been going on in their lives and see why they might be the way the are. I guarantee you that it’s because they’ve either had a rough childhood or someone they deeply cared for broke their heart.
People become monsters when they’ve lost the most precious piece of themselve, their heart.
As Ellen Degeneres always say, Be Kind To One Another.
Namaste.
