My heart is not on a platter and it is neither sour nor cold. But let’s just take a moment to reflect that loving couples get to celebrate and announce their good news all the time, which is an amazing thing and I have yet to appreciate and experience myself. However, we should also celebrate situations like when things don’t work out for the better and instead you get to enjoy the life of being single.

It’s time that we are joyful and proud to announce to the world “I’m Happy, Single and at Bliss”. Status update: (Baseball bat emoticon) Dodged a bullet!

I love being single and always ready to mingle. It is only in those times where you are rubbed in the face by society that you do not have anyone to wake up with in the mornings and sleep with at nights. Problem numero uno, I love sleeping alone and spreading my legs and arms on my ginormous bed but society keeps telling me to cuddle and snuggle. What’s that all about?! Numero dos, PDAs are just insanely agonizing. Get a room!

So let’s start a revolution by declaring your anniversary of being single and how strong you are in being able to run away from relationship bombs!

  1. I totally agree. When I was a teen I always feel a bit bitter not being ‘chosen’. People coupling up all the time and I fell and fell deeper in a self-depreciating pool.
Now I’ve passed that phase, most of my friend are married, have kids, divorced and even remarried. So I started asking myself if I really wanna go through that shit. Not that I don’t want to but I simply won’t settle with someone whom I don’t really really love just for the sake of being the chosen one (.. to have a family or so) I choose not to wait to be chosen. I’ve made my choice to be single and away from trouble. I think before you can generate love you have to love yourself first.
I am very happy to learn that there’re some people on my side. Thank you.

    • Thank you for your comment, Classy Girl! To reply to that I would say that you don’t have to be in a relationship but it would also be nice to leave a small crack on the door in case anyone worthy comes by. Being single does give you that time you need for yourself to love you before you can start loving someone else new. There’s enough love for everyone, you just have to be selective and don’t be afraid of getting hurt. Living in fear is not a happy life and everyone deserves whatever they want! 🙂

      Sincerely,
      Classical Red

  2. Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

  3. Appreciating the time and energy you put
into your site and detailed information you present.
It’s nice to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same
    outdated rehashed information. Fantastic read!
