Although ‘Whitney Cummings’ may not agree to the term ‘playing the field’ because it is sexist, I happen to like watching sports and sit in a way that I wouldn’t crunch my balls. Anyways, I have had many conversations with my girlfriends about relationships and how they would’ve never imagined themselves to be at the point where they are in their relationship. Sometimes, during busy nights, they feel bored because going out made them feel guilty. So, the next thing I’m going to say may not please everyone but this is my advice. Here goes…

Have fun and go out! Play the field. I am not saying it in the sense that you should go around slutting it up and hooking up with many random people, which you could if you are single. But just go out, hang out with your girls and flirt a little. It will actually help your relationship or even fix things you didn’t know needed fixing.

First of all, if you don’t enjoy yourself once in a while, you will become resentful towards your partner and that never goes well. Second of all, it’s not like when your partner is in a serious relationship, they don’t go about checking out other good looking people. That’s just inevitable.

What you should realize is that, partying is not something we should be guilty of. It is actually good for the both of you because it helps release the stress inside your head onto the world instead. If the relationship is rocky, then it might even help you realize that the flare has gone and you need to find a way to fix it together. The fun part of this is that you could get your partner a little jealous and end up having really good make-up sex. After all, if they miss you even when they’re not horny, that’s a keeper!
