(With reference from my favorite TV show, Cougar Town)

Did you know that it is very easy to switch your mood, just like that? Which is why I took the liberty of experimenting with my theories. Here goes…

Experiment #1 (the complaining)
Let me say that I’ve done all of the experiments by chance. I was the kind of person who loved complaining about every single detail. The Sun could easily piss me off. Let’s just say, life during this period was not sunny. So, this wasn’t helpful to my mood, because instead of ignoring things, every emotion heightens and annoying situations become even more annoying. I feel in rage like a vampire in transformation.

Experiment #2 (my old philosophy)
I got this one from an old friend from primary school. “If you start the day well then it might end up badly. But if you start the day badly then it will end up amazing,” she said. You can never understand the selective memory of a child. So, I have lived by that rule for the longest time because, for the longest time, that theory worked. The next experiment will help explain to you why…

Experiment #3 (Music is everything)
There is something very magical about listening to music. Although I don’t recommend the sad, heart-breaking kind to start the day off, the rest is fine. Whatever it is that generally lifts you up, would do. And if you’ve watched or read about the ‘Secret: Law of Attraction’ then this just concluded the accuracy of the theory. What I previously did when I woke up in a good mood was that I tell myself how bad it would end and it did! Every good day would end with some sort of tiny mishap that would bother me. When I woke up in a bad mood, however, I was excited as I believe that my day would then end well. Basically, if you understand the law of attraction that was how I ruin my own good day. I guess it wasn’t too smart to take advice from a 6-year-old.

So when you are in a bad mood just, Slap out of it!
