…you’re a real mean guy! For those who have reached that point of their lives where laziness creeps in, in terms of finding love and relationship, here’s a reminder. After watching Jane the Virgin, abuela’s words were like swords to my ears. Jane who was in a complicated relationship and wants nothing more than a fast track to happiness and just skip to the end, and that is exactly how I am feeling. Abuela reminds her to “make time because if other things fill up, you won’t even realize you stopped missing it.” Missing that cliché moment and thrill of meeting someone new and special.
For someone who always put themselves out there and are openly honest, there comes a point where you stop opening up because people have failed you too many times. It’s a crazy world out there and we try our best to escape those heartless creatures but once in a while you have hope, only to be proven wrong once again.
How do we keep trying, when your heart can’t handle anymore bullshit? Honestly, I still don’t know. But if anything, people around me who have found love are the stem to my faith and hope that there are still good ones out there.
Trust the universe, I guess that’s all you could do. As hard and complicated as things may go, I believe that things happen for a reason. Why we go through hell is only to find and appreciate the very best when it arrives. Or so, I hope.
