In this time and era, young woman find it harder and harder to find a good guy. It’s not because they do not exist but sometimes when it gets hard finding someone good, it makes you lose focus on the big picture. While you are eyeing the ‘wrong’ one, the ‘right’ one might just be around the corner, minding his business as you are too stupid to notice, or the universe it waiting for you to sort your shit out allowing you to meet.

Love is not lost. Often I hear my girlfriends complain of how they are losing faith in all men because left and right, all we see is cheating, deceiving and lying. But don’t give up (yes, easy to say) but I refuse to believe that there’s no great man out there because our fathers were once, probably one of the ‘wrong’ ones too before being the ‘right’ one for our moms.

One thing that is apparent is that love takes time. We all have to go through shit in order to learn what the good shit is. We also have to lose something we once thought was amazing but only because what’s ahead of us is going to be better and greater.

Don’t look for what is right in the man but find a man who can make you feel right. Find the one who you can let go of your pride for while trusting that he won’t take advantage of your heart. Someone who accept your love no matter how overwhelming or quick it may be because the thought of losing you is a higher price to pay.

Remember though that whatever happens in the beginning of the relationship, before you actually become ‘exclusive’, never limit your options. This is so that you don’t start spinning and imagining life with this ‘one guy’ because let’s face it, we do that sometime.

But in the end, love is not lost, it’s just waiting to be found. Only through patience and perseverance will you find this love treasure.
