Just when you are starting to think of giving up, is the time to fight even harder. We are our own monsters. When the tough gets tougher and the night gets darker, our fears are louder in the silence of the night. But fear of what might go against us in the future won’t be as painful as losing what you’ve fought for, for so long in the midst of fear.
Nothing is certain and life had made sure I learnt that lesson. But through all the chaos in our minds and in our heart the only thing that is certain is that we know what we want so when whatever around us is luring you away from your prize, it is when you have to be even stronger.
Don’t give up without a good fight, but also know when to let go. However, know this, letting go is not the same with giving up. Letting go is when you’ve done your part and know it is time for others or the universe to provide you the signs of success. And giving up is ignoring the essential problem that in the end you had control of what you could do but didn’t. That results to regret.
We cannot control anything or anyone beyond ourselves yet we keep trying because that sometime seems like we are doing our part. That is not true. We cannot manipulate the outcome that doesn’t come from our decision making or actions. We can hope. We can suggest, but we cannot control.
So, if things are not going your way, it’s because it is not your way to begin with. Take the next exit and find the path that is made for you. Because sometimes when you love, the hardest thing to do is let you. It is hugging that pillow for comfort but holding on to something will just reminds you of what you don’t have. So let go and it might remind you more of what you had. Trust me, it takes practice and letting go is a lifetime lesson we all have to learn.
