It’s not surprising that when you step into a new relationship that some of your blasts from the past starts haunting you. But at the age where you’ve been through both serious and not so serious relationships, people will prove to you what you’ve already known.
For my exes, it was clear who the good ones were and who weren’t. Obviously, the good ones are happy for you and wouldn’t bother you with uncomfortable awkward conversations while the not so good ones would still try to come back into your life in the pettiest way. But through that, the longer you are involve with someone, the more distraction the universe will throw at you and this is where time will prove ones loyalty. Yours and your partners.
There will always be someone better looking than you out there and someone better looking for you as well. Those who are not content with who they are with and are with their partner for the wrong reason will always fail the test of time because there will always be another option for them. But if you are with someone who you truly love and cannot imagine being without and you truly love them for who they are then time will only reinstate that you are still choosing to be together through all the hard times.
Ironically, there is no way of definitely know even when you sort of know who is loyal to you until the universe test both of you. But if you are someone who have made good choices in the past and your present is looking good, then time has proven that you are a loyal person to you, your decisions and that matters most. If you are not strict with yourself then you will fail yourself and others.
This also goes for friendships and any other kinds of relationship. Sooner or later, the universe will put your relationship on a test especially when you are in a good place. Because often when people see that you are happy with where you are, they feel that they are no longer your main priority (friend and work) that they start auditioning for your replacement. Loyalty means giving people the positive benefit of the doubt. Something that we all consistently have to practice but only when we give people the positive benefit of the doubt that loyalty, friendship and love can remain.
We are so impatient with time but time is the only thing that can help us understand it all. Time is actually on our side, we just have to let the universe work its’ magic and not sabotage it beforehand.
Don’t you often feel tested for patience? Many times when you face trouble what’s your natural instinct. Because in the most critical time of a decision making or action taking, the universe will test you the hardest. The only winners of these situations are those who are the most persistent, resilient and a good person with a stubborn heart because the universe love those kinds of people.
So, if someone has proven to you their loyalty, make sure to hold that tight like a precious cargo! Not everyone may be loyal to you, but there will always be someone who is. Those are finders keeper…
