Writers, designers, artist and anyone along the fields of artsy fartsy, will understand the period of a creative block. If you’ve watched Jane the Virgin when Jane is stuck in a creative block it is rooted from her personal problems. Here is what you have to understand if you know or is hiring those who work with creative minds:
Do not rush us! This could be the gasoline to the fire for a creative person. Our mind is not wired like that. Creativity comes into our head like farts. If you don’t let it out then and there, it might take a whole day and night for it to come back.
We do not like others to rush us but we do work well under pressure. Here is what you have to distinguish between the two. As we get closer to the deadline and because of our creative block, once on the go, we pressure ourselves into finishing everything. Now, it is a generalization therefore not every creative people are good under pressure but most likely, the adrenaline does help.
Don’t mind us when we ignore you. Once in our head space and in our creative flow, the world is instantly in a co-existence and we do not interact within it. What a creative person probably hates the most is being disrupted when the juices are flowing. It could become a crime scene.
We can be very quiet. But most of the time it is either that we are jutting down every single details in order to use it for work or against you in the future. Do not worry, we clutter our heads with so many ideas, yours might just be out of the loop.
Everything considered, we are genuine people that more often than we hope for, get lost in our own heads.
Thank you very much for your blog.
